Kottakkal

Kottakkal situated 12 km southwest of Malappuram district of Kerala is synonymous with the word Ayurveda. Kottakkal is the home of Kottakkal Arya Vaidyasala founded by Vaidyaratnam P.S Warrier in 1902.

Arya Vaidyasala is the largest institution of this kind and has branches in all over India. They now run a research centre, nursing home and a College of Ayurveda, Kathakali Academy.
