Event date: 07-03-2010

Venue: Kodimoottil Bhagavathy Temple, Parippally, Kollam district.

This festival is dedicated to Bhadrakali - the Goddess in her most fierce form. There is a procession of about 50 elephants - the Gajamela - and various cultural programmes on the concluding days.

Getting there:

Nearest railway station: Kollam, about 23 km away.
Nearest airport: Thiruvananthapuram International Airport, about 48 km from Parippally.
