First time to Kerala, Mr. Paul Peterson from Germany began his acquaintance with Kerala in the backwater district of Alappuzha.

Soon after returning from a delightful houseboat cruise on the backwaters of Alappuzha, we caught up with Mr. Paul, who was still enjoying the twilight that was spreading across the backwater expanse near Punnamada, where the houseboat was about to berth for the evening.

One thing Mr. Paul wanted to share in outset itself was the way he felt about the local people, who were invariably very friendly.

Even though going through his early days in Kerala, the countryside and backwater villages in and around Alappuzha turned out to be overwhelming for Mr. Paul. He has thoroughly enjoyed every moment of his visit so far to Alappuzha and has already developed a special liking for local delicacies.
