A cheerful youngster from Bangkok, Mr. Phunchan Tanavatsatiend following his first visit to Kerala, feels that he should have been to Kerala much earlier. Mr. Phunchan Tanavatsatiend is the Chief Operating Officer for Sri Lankan Holidays, based in Bangkok.
Mr. Phunchan deals with both outbound and inbound travel and for him Kerala is relatively a new destination, which he would like to explore and understand before promoting its best services and products to his clients.
According to Mr. Phunchan not many back in his home country Thailand are aware of the kind of potential that Kerala holds as a tourist destination, and feels the need for effective promotional works to make it familiar among the Thais. "Even though this is my first visit to Kerala, I strongly feel Ayurveda and the House Boats out here offer variety, and would be nice propositions for visitors from Thailand and other parts of the world.
Mr. Phunchan feels that the ambiance and the people out here all make Kerala a very friendly destination for overseas visitors. And on South Indian delicacies, he said that he himself tried many of them and was pretty much impressed by the variety to choose from.
Mr. Phunchan still has a lot to see in Kerala, and Kerala Tourism hopefully would have more visitors from Thailand in the near future through his efforts.
