Mr. Tetsuo Tanahashi

Mr. Tetsuo Tanahashi, a Japanese language instructor at Technopark, Thiruvananthapuram feels totally at home in Kerala. A native of Kyoto in Japan, he says that his favourite form of unwinding is to take a brisk walk around the city, culminating with a hot cup of coffee at the local Indian Coffee House or a piping hot masala dosa at one of the city restaurants.  He loves the beach at Kovalam like no other. Widely travelled, Mr. Tanahashi loves to recount his experiences at Kochi’s Jew Town, on a previous visit to Kerala, where he was pleasantly surprised to hold conversations in Hebrew with the locals. He also loves to watch Malayalam movies, which he feels are high on intellectual content. As to Kerala’s performing arts, he has witnessed a Kathakali performance during the Onam celebrations.

But what he really appreciates is the unique hospitality extended by the average Keralite. “I would love to stay on provided I get a chance to do so,” concluded Mr. Tanahashi.
