A Glimpse of Other Village Activities

The country boat ride through the canal brings you to an anganwadi, a government-run school that is like a play school. Such anganwadis are seen all over Kerala. After that, you can take a stroll through the village to see villagers engaged in traditional work. Women engaged in activities such as coconut palm frond weaving, screw pine weaving and broomstick making are common sights. You can also try your hand at these traditional village jobs.
