Pathiramanal Island in Alappuzha

Local guides, while taking you on a backwater cruise from Alappuzha to Kumarakom, will inform you of a certain detour cherished by people for centuries. The site is the gorgeous Pathiramanal, also known as Ananda Padmanabhan Thoppu and Pathira Thoppu, a favourite among picnickers, trekkers and bird watchers. This quaint island, situated in the middle of Lake Vembanadu, has the perfect rustic vibe and ensuing surroundings to help facilitate the best break possible while traversing the backwaters of God's Own Country.
