MoU
The launch of Louis Cruises India was announced on September 18, 2009, during a ceremony in which a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the company and Kerala Tourism with the common goal to market and promote cruise tourism out of Kochi. The official signing by Mr. M. Sivasankar, Director, Kerala Tourism and Mr. Oneil Khosa, Managing Director, Louis Cruises India took place in the presence of Mr. Kodiyeri Balakrishnan, Minister for Home, Vigilance and Tourism, Dr. Venu V., Secretary, Kerala Tourism, and the Chairman of Cochin Port Trust, Mr. N. Ramachandran in Trivandrum.
The MoU is a big step towards promoting cruise tourism, a relatively new concept in India, to a burgeoning domestic market. The exclusive arrangement will apply for five years and will enable both organizations to further promote and introduce cruising to the Indian market. Â
