The two main entrances of the visitor's centre will be located at North Paravur and Kodungalloor. It will provide information on the Muziris Heritage Project, including access details like transport, directions and interpretation. Inside, the visitor's centre will offer world-class facilities, with exhibitions and audio-visual presentations to help visitors enjoy and understand the unique history of Kerala. There will also be high quality catering, a shop and dedicated space to accommodate educational groups.

It will act as a nodal centre for the academic and research activities of the project. There will be a digital library, classrooms, scholar's rooms, seminar halls, an auditorium etc.
