The project aims to revitalize the markets for the benefit of the residents, owners and labourers. Development within the market will be done without disturbing the existing character and atmosphere of the market; especially the feelings of the traders and labourers who make a livelihood here.

A walk through the market is expected to add an old world charm to the shopping experience.

Three markets are projected to be developed as traditional shopping streets. They are: Paliam, Kottappuram and Paravur.
