The Kumily gramapanchayat has put in lakhs of rupees in healthcare programmes linked to the ‘Clean Kumily Green Kumily’ project. It has set up a waste management plant for the public and has come up with other comprehensive solid waste management initiatives.
Many projects targeting the mentally and physically challenged children of the region have also been introduced. A team of panchayat officials visit their homes frequently and provide all necessary support for their well-being.
