The beach fringes the Vypeen
Island on the Kochi harbour mouth. One can stand here and watch closely the passing ships. The beach is also ideal for swimming. Inland from the beach is a
typical Kerala village with thatched cottages, coconut groves and paddy fields.
Getting there:
Nearest railway station: Ernakulam Junction, about 1 km from the main boat
jetty.
Nearest airport: Cochin International Airport, about 20 km from Ernakulam.
