St. Thomas Gate

This is in commemoration of the arrival of St. Thomas at Niranam in 52 C.E. According to the tradition, St. Thomas reached Niranam at the Thomathukadavu and he stayed here for some time and preached the gospel at places around the Thrikapaleeshwaram Siva Temple. He erected a cross in this plot, where providentially the Jerusalem Marthoma Church was built in 1906.
