Welcome to the 300th issue of the Kerala Tourism e-newsletter!
A first of its kind venture in the tourism sector of India, the e-newsletter was launched in the year 1998. Today it has over 50,000 subscribers and publishes articles and information on the events and celebrations happening in Kerala every month.
This 300th issue features Responsible Tourism (RT), the latest trend in the global tourism scenario.
RT initiatives started in the year 2009 and are all about “making better places for people to live in and better places for people to visit”.
The objective of the venture is to make tourism a tool for the development of villages and local communities thereby eradicating poverty and giving emphasis to women empowerment. The Kerala State Responsible Tourism Mission was formed in the year 2017.
In this issue of the e-newsletter, we present to you the Village Life Experience (VLE) tour packages, one of the major products developed for tourists by the Responsible Tourism Mission.
