A place of great archeological importance. The place is famous for a Siva temple and the ruins of a big mud fort. Another temple is the Kattil Madom Temple made up of granite slabs. This temple is believed to have been built in the 9 th or 10 th century AD. Another memorial devoted to Paakkanar, the pariah saint is also nearby.
