A recording of the life of Sahodaran Ayyappan
The residence of Sahodaran Ayyappan in Cherai, Kerala, who was one of the outspoken followers of Sree Narayana Guru will be conserved as part of Muziris heritage project.
The Muziris heritage project aims at making available to the common public of today the ideas, the message and a picture of the social upsurge and reawakening of those times through a recording of the life of Sahodaran Ayyappan. A portrait of those times should be unveiled through the preservation of the life lived by Sahodaran Ayyappan. The items that are planned to be exhibited are recordings of the crucial events in his life, a history of his life, some of the articles used by him and recordings of his ideas. Arrangements will be made for the display of panels carrying images and messages from his life in an exhibition model. There will also be books in the library for reference.
The place where he spent a lot of time devoting his activities to social reforms, will be made easily accessible to people. A boat jetty too has come up as part of the Muziris heritage project, near his residence.
