The new tourism policy to be unveiled by the Government of Kerala will lay emphasis on the ‘green carpet’ initiative. Destinations will be made plastic free and differently-abled friendly, Mr. Kadakampally Surendran, Minister for Tourism, Kerala, has said. He further said that the government planned to implement Responsible Tourism in the State.
The green carpet initiative is envisaged as the sustainable management of tourist destinations with the involvement of the community.
