KTDC offers special holiday packages for domestic tourists

The Kerala Tourism Development Corporation (KTDC) Hotels and Resorts has come up with new holiday packages for domestic tourists to be offered during the forthcoming festival seasons. The packages will link major tourist destinations and properties of KTDC, spread across Kerala.

"The packages have been designed to suit the spending capabilities of domestic tourists. KTDC expects a surge in their arrival during the festival season." said Mr. Cherian Philip, Chairman, KTDC.

The packages on offer will cover accommodation, food and travel to major destinations, said Mr.Cherian Philip. Among the holiday packages offered is 'Discover Kerala' which will provide accommodation for the tourists at the KTDC Tamarind Easy Hotels and budget hotels at Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Alappuzha, Peermedu, Thekkady, Kalady, Athirapalli, Guruvayur, Thrissur, Malampuzha, Silent Valley, Kondotti, Nilambur, Thirunelli and Parassinikadavu at affordable prices. The package also includes the sightseeing at nearby tourist attractions, places of interest, historical places, pilgrim centres and wildlife sanctuaries.

Under the 'Sundara Keralam' package (8-12 days) aimed at encouraging travellers to explore Kerala, destinations from down south Kanyakumari to Bekal in north Kerala will be covered. And as part of the holiday package 'Utharayanam' it has visits to the northern region in five days covering places from Kannur in north Kerala to Kochi while 'Dakshinayanam' tour to southern Kerala will explore places of interest from Thiruvananthapuram, the capital city of Kerala to Kochi in five days.

The KTDC is also providing customized tour packages to the travellers. Bolgatty Palace in Kochi is much sought after since it hosted the Kerala Travel Mart, 2010.
