The food stall set up by the Responsible Tourism Mission at Vaikom Tourism Fest gained popular attention. The food festival named ‘Parambarya Ruchiyude Peruma’ attracted food enthusiasts and locals alike. The festival showcased a wide variety of authentic traditional food items at the various stalls at the venue.
Traditional cuisine that includes dishes made of jack fruit, mango, and snacks of the likes of bamboo pudding, Ila Ada, tapioca items and fish items were there. Another main attraction of the event was the 17 varieties of dosa.
The Smrithi Ethnic Food Restaurant, an initiative of the Responsible Tourism, Kumarakom, allured people with it varieties of duck, chicken and Pearl Spot dishes.
The stalls functioned from 11 in the morning. The event provided facilities for visitors to sit and enjoy the delicacies.
