Overview
The trail experience
Set in the heart of Vembanad Lake, Perumbalam is an island shaped by water, memory and the quiet rhythms of village life. For generations, boats were its lifeline; today, a new bridge has changed the way the island connects with the world, even as its farms, fishing traditions, sacred groves, temples, crafts and ancestral homes continue to hold on to an older way of life. This trail is a gentle journey into that world — across the water, through the village and into the everyday traditions that make Perumbalam what it is.
