Lockhart estate in Munnar welcomes you to its beautiful tea gardens and landscapes. The place is noted for its old tea factories and museum.The Lockhart Tea factory produces about 20 million kilograms of tea annually and is owned by Harrisons Malayalam Limited, one of South India's largest tea cultivators. Entry is allowed to the public during regular working hours where you can see the processing of tea and various stages involved in its production. The museum here exhibits photographs and machinery used in earlier days of tea production.
