2 Days / 1 Night Village Tour
Ramakkalmedu is a hill station in Idukki district, Kerala. It is about 3,500 ft above sea level. Known for strong winds (around 30-35 km/h), wind farms, panoramic views of neighbouring Tamil Nadu villages & valleys. Main attractions: Kuravan & Kurathi statue, Turtle Rock, Frog Rock, Wind Farm, scenic viewpoints.

Day 1

Morning: Depart from your starting place (e.g. Thiruvananthapuram / nearest city) early morning by car / bus to Ramakkalmedu. En route, enjoy views of plantations / hilly terrain.
Midday: Arrive, check-in to a homestay or resort. Lunch with local food.
Afternoon: Visit Wind Farm Viewpoint; see the turbines; feel the strong winds. Then head to Kuravan & Kurathi Statue – great views & good for photography.
Late Afternoon: Visit Turtle Rock, Frog Rock, small trekking or walking through nearby village paths. Interact with locals.
Evening: Watch sunset from a viewpoint; local dinner; maybe bonfire if allowed. Overnight stay.

Day 2

Early Morning Optional: Watch sunrise. Then breakfast.
Morning: Short trek / nature walk – explore local plantations (tea / spice / cardamom etc.), or Jeep safari / local off-road ride.
Midday: Visit a nearby waterfall (Thooval Waterfalls if accessible) or other minor scenic spot.
Afternoon: Lunch, relax, shop for local produce / crafts. Depart back.
