DAY 01: KOCHI TO MUNNAR (140 KM, 4.30 HOURS) |
You will be welcomed at Kochi Airport by our company representative. Today, head to the dramatic Munnar hills, a place that will forever keep you under its spell. In this former hill getaway of the colonial British, soak up the tranquillity and head out to the verdant tea plantations to taste the local brew.
The drive up the hills: beautiful valleys and tea gardens along the way
This morning, you will drive up through the hills on the way to Munnar. Stop to take a snap of the amazing vistas and views nearby places on your way here. Check-in to your resort and relax for a while.
Visit the Tea Museum: witness tea processing and explore some colonial artefacts
The afternoon would be a great time to visit the tea museum where you could explore artefacts from the colonial times besides witnessing the tea processing procedure. The evening is free for you to go shopping in Munnar town or spending time in the resort. Relax for the evening at your resort.
Timings: 0900 to 1600 hrs. The museum is closed on Monday.

DAY 02: EXPLORE MUNNAR |
Wake up early and catch the sunrise over the hills. Today, set out to explore other attractions in Munnar like Rajamala (national park), the dam and echo point.
Trek along the Eravikulam national park: Meet up with friendly Niligiri Tahrs
The terrain in the park is high altitude grasslands and features Anamudi, the highest peak (2695m) south of the Himalayas. Get on one of the government operated mini-buses and take a mild trek to amazing vantage points along with lots of endangered Niligiri Tahrs.
An afternoon covering the Mattupetty dam, photo point and Echo point at Munnar
As the day unfolds take a few snaps at photo point before reaching Mattupetty dam. Spend some time here if you feel like taking a motor boat cruise. Relax for the night at your Hotel. |

DAY 03: MUNNAR TO THEKKADY (120 KM, 3.45 HRS) |
Enjoy your breakfast and head to Thekkady, home to one of the best-managed wildlife reserves in India.With a 100-year-old artificial lake and its setting in the thickly forested Western Ghats (UNESCO world heritage site), Periyar will not disappoint with a range of activities and wildlife spotting on offer. Check-in to your resort, relax for a while and soak in the tropical garden landscape.
Boating the Periyar: A soothing wildlife experience (Optional)
The afternoon boat ride through the lake Periyar will give you a chance to spot wildlife by the riverside. Arrive at the counter to make the afternoon boating.

Optional Activities outside the reserve:
Thekkady is an established activity center with many options. Depending on time available, you can choose between elephant rides/showers, Martial Arts shows, Kathakali performance, spice shopping and fine dining. Relax for the night at your resort.

DAY 04: ON A HOUSEBOAT AT ALLEPPEY (150 KM, 4.5 HRS) |
Today enjoy your breakfast, check out and head to the backwater town of Alleppey for the most anticipated experience in Kerala: the houseboat. The ‘Venice of the East’ as Alleppey is called supports a vibrant village life along the shorelines with paddy fields and palms.
On board a ‘Kettuvallom’: A glimpse of backwater life
After traditional lunch on your private houseboat, the cruise will take you through splendid waterways of narrow canals. You will get opportunities to explore village life and the country side. Afternoons are best spent sunbathing on the deck or lounging in the shade while socializing with your crew. As we drift along you will be amazed by the life by the water side and witness a spectacular sunset. Overnight stay in Houseboat. Cruising hours(5-6 hours) on the first day & 01 hour on the second day morning.

DAY 05: ALLEPPEY TO KOVALAM (180 KM, 4.5 HOURS) |
Today you will travel to a place where you will find some of the most popular beaches in the country. Famed for its ayurveda centers with enough opportunities for adventure junkies, Kovalam will not disappoint.
Soak in the view from atop the Vizhinjam lighthouse
This afternoon, climb up the spiral staircases of one of the oldest lighthouses in India to get a stunning view of the coast. Atop thrilling height of this candy-striped lighthouse, enjoy the strong winds and an awesome vantage point.(Open between 3 pm to 5 pm).
Sunset by the seaside: Explore lighthouse beach
This evening is free for you to spend time by the beach side. The atmosphere will be laid back and relaxed. With lots of options around, consider dining at some of the open air restaurants around or shopping for souvenirs. Relax for the night at your beach resort.

DAY 06 : EXPLORE TRIVANDRUM, VELI & KOVALAM |
Today set aside for you to explore Kovalam and pursue activities of your interest. There are quite a few in-house activities like yoga, learning to cook with spices, or ayurveda. The outdoor options include heritage tours, water sports and village tours among others.
Trivandrum City Tour
After breakfast, head to the Padmanabhaswamy temple, the richest temple in the country with antique riches. Only Hindus are permitted entry to the temple in prescribed dress code. Visit the palace museum/horse palace (Puthenmalika)- magnificently crafted wooden palace famous for its house sculpture work and priceless collection of the royal family (Monday holiday). Later, revel at the oil paintings of the raja and exquisite collection at Napier Museum.
ExploreVeli Tourist Village & Shanghumugham
Afternoon head to Veli Tourist Village. This picnic spot, where the Veli Lake meets the Arabian Sea, offers boating facilities. Pedal boats and paddle boats can be hired to explore the charms of the lagoon in a leisurely manner. The mermaid statue and recreation club are other attractions.
This evening is free for you to spend time by the beach side. The atmosphere will be laid back and relaxed. With lots of options around, consider dining at some of the open air restaurants around or shopping for souvenirs. Relax for the night at your beach resort at Kovalam.

DAY 07: DEPARTURE FROM TRIVANDRUM (20 KM, 40 MINS) |
After breakfast, check out from the resort and drive to Trivandrum Airport [check out time- before 11:00am]. Depending on the time available, take a short city tour or shop around before being dropped at the Airport/Rail Station. Prepare for onward journey with memories to last for a lifetime. |
