About the Institution
Kalagramam was established in 1997 as an extension of Grameena Patana Kendram, which provides an institutional framework for the training of Arts and Cultural forms of Kerala. Classical, folk and applied art forms are imparted to youngsters through popular and professional personnel in the various sectors of Kalagramam. People's Choir Group, Drama Group and Film Group are also functioning in this centre. Monthly cultural performance programmes, demonstration lectures, interactive sessions on arts and cultural forms and personalities, international film festival for rural public etc. are some of the activities of the society.
