Puthukulangara Devi Temple in Pathanamthitta every year bear witness to one spectacular ritual artform popularly known as Othera Padayani.

This is a ten-day festival marked by the presence of the magnificent Bhairavi Kolam and Chattathel Kolam. Bhairavi Kolam is the biggest and heaviest among all the kolams.

Bhairavi Kolam made of panels of arecanut tree and bamboo is indeed a wonder to watch. The largest kolams is made of 101 spathes and is about eighteen feet high.
