The Shakthan Thampuran Palace, a historic landmark, which throws light on some of the interesting aspects of the Perumpadappu Swaroopam - the former ruling dynasty of Kochi. Named after King Rama Varma Shakthan Thampuran (AD 1790-1805) the palace located in the heart of Thrissur town has several well-preserved materials and galleries, which hold a great deal of information about the erstwhile rulers of Kochi.
