This video shows the preparation of Kai Mezhukkupuratti or sautéed banana.
Ingredients Raw Banana – 3 (cut into thin square pieces) Coconut dried – ½ cup Green chillies – 6 (sliced lengthwise) Chilli powder – 1 tsp Turmeric powder – ½ tsp Salt – to taste Oil Mustard seeds – 1 tsp Curry leaves Urad dal – 1 tsp
Method of preparation Heat three teaspoons of oil in a pan. To this, add mustard seeds, urad dal and coconut pieces. Stir well. Now add curry leaves. Stir a bit and add green chillies and sauté for some time. Add the thin square shaped banana pieces. Stir a bit. Proceed to add salt, turmeric powder and chilli powder. Now pour a cup of water. Stir a bit and cover the vessel. When all of the water is absorbed, lower the flame and mix the pieces well.
