Vishnumoorthi is a popular Vaishnava Theyyam known for its loud drumbeats and magical ambience.

VishnumoorthuTheyyam tells the tale of Palanthai Kannan, a great devotee of Lord Vishnu. One fascinating visual during the Vishnumoorthi performance is the Agnipravesham.

While doing the Agnipravesham act, Vishnumoorthi in ottakkolam (only one kolam) enters the pyre. This is repeated several times.
