Classification of Kerala Tourism Ayurveda Centres
The elevation of 'Ayurveda' as a USP of Kerala Tourism has brought a substantial increase in the ayurveda massage centres in and around all the major tourist destinations in the State. Most of these operate according to their terms and often flout safety and health regulations. To forestall any such misuse and maintain a uniformity of practice Government of Kerala has brought out a scheme for the Approval of Ayurveda Centres vide G.O. (MS) 140/98/GAD dated 23-03-1998. Government have accorded sanction for the introduction of the new scheme for the classification of Ayurveda centres in the state as per GO(MS) No.254/2002/GAD dated 25/7/2002.
In the backdrop of the discussions held with Indian System of Medicine, Government Ayurveda College, Tourism professionals and administrators, an attempt is made to develop new classification criteria for Kerala Tourism Ayurveda Centres. As per GO(Rt) Number 9/2019/Tourism dated 28/6/2019 and GO(Rt) No.27/2019/Tourism Dated.19-12-2019 Government have accorded sanction for the revision in the classification of Ayurveda centres.

- Ayur Gold
- Ayur Diamond
