Situated outside the village of Pindimana, about 10 kms from Kothamangalam and 50 km from Kochi, Bhoothathankettu is a dam constructed over River Periyar which is a tourism spot attracting large number of people round the year. Trek to Old Bhoothathakettu, trekking package at Bhoothathankettu, is a safe natural walk trail through the thick evergreen forest from the vicinity of dam site.
