Part of Agasthyamala Biosphere Reserve, the forest types of Shenduruny includes the West coast tropical evergreen, Southern hilltop tropical evergreen, West coast tropical semi-evergreen, mixed deciduous forest, Myristica swamp forest, Southern sub-tropical hill forests and grassland.
