Abhilash Malayi

Abhilash Malayil is an Assistant Professor in the Department of History at Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Tirur. His specialisation lies in the economic history of Malabar and South Canara in the 18th and 19th centuries. He completed his doctoral research at the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Indian Institute of Technology-Mandi, Himachal Pradesh in 2018. Subsequently, he held a Post-Doctoral Fellowship from October 2018 to September 2020 at the Department of Asian Studies, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, as part of the European Research Council (ERC) research project.
