The recently renovated Aduthila Guliyanka Bhagavathy temple is at the Aduthila stop on the Kannur- Pazhayangadi route. Guliyanka Bhagavathy is the prominent deity of this family temple. Legend has it that the Goddess, who was discarded by the Kaalakaatti Illam, had taken refuge in the Kallukuthu Kuzhi. Enamoured by the manners, discipline and customary rites of the Poonthottam priests and Viswakarmas, the Goddess installed herself in nearby Aduthila.
