Pazhangodu Sree Koorankunnu Bhagavathy Temple has a close resemblance to the Kanyakumari temple where spectacular dawns can be viewed in any season. The temple is situated near lush paddy fields and sparkling ponds. The origin of the temple is the story of the Ship Captain and Goddess who came crossing the sea on a ship. This temple is open to worship everyday. An old tree in the temple premises stands as testimony to the old age of the temple.
