The story behind the Naduvalathu Kottam temple is that the resident Goddess is supposed to have come along with Kelappan Karanavar (head of joint family) who had gone to see the festival at Narikkottu. The temple is at the Embettu stop below the Kavungal Athiyedam Pazhayangadi road that leads from the Kannur - Taliparamba National Highway. Renovations of this temple are currently going on.
