This temple, that boasts a traditional architectural model and also showcases Theyyam, is located right in the middle of the town on the main road. The deity of the temple, Chamundi, is a fierce woman who loves to satiate herself by drinking blood. Her bloodthirsty character dissuades most women from visiting the temple. The theyyam festival here is only for one night and has only one Kolam (Theyyam). The performance is late at night and has a cathartic effect on viewers, usually cleansing the devotees' mind from dreadful thoughts. The festival is held every year and local people organize the program.
