This is a Devasthanam and Theyyam centre sharing space in an Illam or manor. Traditionally worshipped deities become the Theyyams. Offerings and invocations of the deity are offered daily at the temple and these are the distinctive features of this Devasthanam. Not far from the Illam is the Kanjirathara and lamp hut which is yet another symbol of dedication.
