Karuvalli Sree Koorumba Bhagavathy Kavu is one of the eighteen and half Chirumba Kavus of Sree Koorumba. The Legend goes that the temple was established by the sage Kanwa Maha Muni. The Rudraksha and cane that are preserved in the kitchen or Kazhakapura of the temple belonged to the revered sage. The temple is at Thana on the Kannur Thalassery route. Two other Devasthanams have been renovated nearby.
