Manikka Sree Kurumba (Payyampalli) Temple

This is a temple where the Vellattam and worship occurs on all Fridays and on Samkarama (roughly the last day of Malayalam month) days. Special rituals, like the offering of Thirumudi, is also permitted. The Manikyam Devi installed at this temple supposedly came from the Kanathoor Sri Kurumba temple. Legend says that she ascended and installed herself. The temple flagpole is another wonderful aspect of the temple.
