This is also known as the second Muthappan Madappura because the surrounding grove and river is to the east. The temple is located where the Anjarakkandi River turns around in its flow. The Devasthanam can be seen in the midst of the undulating greenery of the banks. The temple can be reached at Palayam via Vellachal, Makreri, Kilaloor Kavinmoola near Kannur. This Madappura epitomises the synergy of Nature and devotion.
