This is a joint family temple that has been recently renovated. The rites conducted here are on the lines of a traditional family temple. There is Vellattam every Sunday after Makaram and on Puthari day (in the Malayalam month of Thulam). The Madappura is at the Palayam Medical College stop past Kannur on the Chakkarakkal - Kaavinmoola route.
