This is a prominent temple of north Malabar which combines the divine strength of Goddesses Kali, Saraswathi and Lakshmi. It is administered by the Devaswom board. The Uthama Karma and Madhyama Karma rites and rituals are practiced here which is a rarity. The legend is that the Goddess appeared here in the form of a fish. The platform where the Goddess first appeared is called Vaamal Deeputhara and is preserved well. The temple has been renovated and enlarged.
