This is a Kavu where for a single Theyyam occasion (Otta Theyya Kaazhcha) around forty-one Kuttichathans (demons) dance. The centuries old tress and roofless stage near the kavu enhances the divine ambience. The specialty of Korothu is the plentitude of the Ottakkolam. The traditional home where the family elders live is located adjacent to the temple.
