The Tantrik of Vellore manor brought the deity to this temple from Wayanadu. Since the deity came from Paaval Poyka, the local people called it Paacha poyka. The significance of this temple is that it offers fifty Kuttichathan Kolams. A Bhairavan Theyyam takes place as well. Currently the workings of the Madom are conducted with public participation.
