Photography Competition

Kerala Tourism is all geared up to observe the ’World Tourism Day’ on 27th September 2014. Portraying the Responsible Tourism destinations in all its glory, Kerala Tourism is conducting an Online Photography Submission competition. The images should ideally capture the basic elements of RT like community involvement, stakeholders’ role, travellers’ involvement, lifestyle of the local communities and innovative approaches and eco-friendly measures. Winning photos will be displayed on the Kerala Tourism website.

Competition on Innovative Ideas for Responsible Tourism

The competition is open to all tourism clubs operating out of the schools / colleges in Kerala. The participating teams should submit their ideas on how to implement Responsible Tourism (RT) in all tourist destinations in Kerala. This project aims to get innovative ideas from tourism clubs for bettering the implementation of RT in Kerala, starting with one district at a time. Each team should select three districts and submit customized ideas for each one of them, taking into account the community, environment and all other factors that can aid in the efficient implementation of RT in each district.

The winning project will be jointly implemented by Kerala Tourism and the school or college club that contributed with the idea.
