Alapra, surrounded by the forest of Ponthanpuzha is a picturesque village, located near Erumeli in the Kottayam district of Kerala.The Alapra Thacharikkal Bhagavathi Temple located amidst the forest is the only place in Kottayam district where Padayani, a ritual art is performed. Stunning views, spectacular waterfalls, mysterious caves and muniyaras added to the natural attractions of the landscape.
