Dr. Kalam Smriti International Science and Space Museum

Dr. Kalam Smriti International Science and Space Museum, dedicated to the former president and space scientist Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, is situated at Vellanad in Thiruvananthapuram. This is South India’s first museum solely dedicated to Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam.

The museum showcases the personal memorabilia of the late president, rare photographs and miniature models of rockets, satellites, etc. and inspiring quotes.

A notable exhibit in the museum is an image of Rameshwaram where Dr. Kalam began his journey of life and his teachings. Another noteworthy exhibit is a replica of India’s heavy-lift launch vehicle GSLV Mk-III.
The Museum is an offshoot of Dr. Kalam Smriti International, an organisation that is functioning efficiently with the commendable support of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) at both technical and advisory levels.

The Museum also screens a short film, 'The Missile Man'.
