Under the leadership of the State Responsible Tourism Mission, the Maravanthuruthu Grama Sabha became a major event of the PEPPER tourism project. This Special Tourism Grama Sabha conducted on January 19, 2018 proved to be the best instance of public participation. The thrust areas of discussions were mainly related to the creation and implementation of a tourism master plan, sanctioning and execution of tourism programmes that are brought forward by local self-governments, FAM trips, tourism marketing, tourism and primary facilities development and so forth.
