Kevin Phun is a sustainable tourism specialist, trainer, speaker and writer, being active in this specific field since 2008. This was partly in response to the growing need and call for formal expertise in developing responsible/sustainable tourism in SE Asia.
Kevin is a member of several regional organizations related to responsible tourism and plays a role in shaping polices, initiatives and learning in the region's ustainable tourism space.
He was recently involved in ecotourism projects like revising the ASEAN ecotourism standards, working together with fellow board members at the Asian Ecotourism network (AEN) and executing for the UNWTO (World Tourism Organisation) their 17th high level executive training in Danang, Vietnam, November 2023.
Current projects include consulting for a inbound travel agency on sustainability certification and was recently appointed by Green Destinations as their lead independent expert for Asia. His training experience includes clients like Mekong Institute (based in Thailand) and the Tourism Management Institute of Singapore (TMIS) amongst a few more.
Founder Kevin Phun is also often seen as a thought leader in responsible tourism, with numerous articles posted by leading tourism publications like TTG Asia and Mekong Tourism Coordinating Office. A few articles have also been posted by the Asian Development Bank's (ADB) SEADS.
