Kerala will post 1,000 Tourism Resource Persons (TRP) as part of a Responsible Tourism (RT) initiative. Seats are reserved for transpersons and the differently-abled. Organisation of tourism Grama Sabhas and promotion of destinations at the grassroots level are the main aims of TRP.

There is a total of 750 seats available for TRPs of which 60 each will be posted in Thiruvananthapuram, Idukki and Kannur, 55 each in Kottayam, Ernakulam, Kozhikode and Kasaragod, and 50 each in Kollam, Alappuzha, Pathanamthitta, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram and Wayanad.

Previous experience is not needed for transgenders and the differently- abled. If there are not enough candidates for the reserved seats, then general applicants will be considered.
